We have been to England a couple of times. One when we had a layover and the other when we planned a trip to spend more time in the area and then head on up to Scotland and over to Ireland.
ENGLAND – FIRST TRIP: On a layover at London Heathrow Airport on our flight back from Greece, we decided to take the underground to snap some pictures of Buckingham Palace and have some lunch. This “quickie London tour” was not advised by the flight attendant. He said we didn’t have enough time to take the underground, look around, and eat. Living on the edge, we went for it. Honestly we probably got to see what everyone else does when they stay there a full day. As shown in the pictures below, we got to see the London Eye (ferris wheel), Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and we ate some fish & chips at one of the local eateries on the way back. A perfect quickie tour. Cheers mate!
